If you haven’t heard about it by now, you must be living in a cave. ‘Boyhood’ is a terrific movie. It is written and directed by a writer/film maker who should win an Oscar for screenplay, editing and direction.

The movie seamlessly flows from the time the main character Mason Jr. is six, until he is going to college at 19. He grows up before your eyes and it is remarkable film making. The movie was twelve years in the making and also stars Ethan Hawke as the father.

It is very long, but I never looked at my watch. It is unusual these days to be so entranced by a movie that has no sex, no violence, no murder, no kidnapping etc.

Be sure and see this before it leaves the theaters. I think this is a movie that is greatly enhanced by the Big Screen.
