I’m back from Las Vegas and after two days home I am finally awake enough to sit down and write a post. What a wonderful vacation!

My son took me to Vegas for my 75th Birthday celebration and it was a perfect trip. It began with a limo ride from the airport to our hotel. Very swanky.

My eleven year old grandson took the ride very casually, as you can see from the photo. (He only removed his headphones to swim and sleep during the six days we were there.)photo 3 copy

We were staying at Paris, and as I had never stayed there before it was very special. The interior is beautiful. There is a sky overhead and it feels as if the casino is outdoors. The cobblestone path with lamp posts gives the entire ground floor the feeling of the streets of Paris.photo copy 2

Beautiful shops, cafe’s, and bakeries line the ‘boulevard’. There really isn’t any reason to leave the hotel during your stay.

The food at all the restaurants is excellent, but my birthday dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant truly ‘takes the cake’.

A triangular elevator whisks you to the 11th floor and you exit into the kitchen area, where the chefs are busily preparing about 500 dinners.

The view from the dining room is the Bellagio across the street with a great view of their fountains. The room is full but not noisy.

The Captain for our table took our orders and guided us through the menu. We started off with their signature seafood platter for the table. Wow!photo 1 copy 3This was followed by Dover sole, chocolate souffle, great service and ambiance. Truly a memorable meal.

It was so delightful that I booked brunch for the next day. That was also great. Champagne, Caviar, French cheeses and baguettes (the perfect breakfast).

Again the views were outstanding.photo copy As it was St. Patricks Day I got in the swing of things with my outfit.photo 2 copy 4Tomorrow I will tell you all about what we did next. Hint: We went to see David Copperfield at the MGM Grand.
